  • Taylor is currently design director at the Los Angeles Times where she shapes visual experiences across print, digital, events, and social platforms. She is responsible for leading and growing a team of 30 art directors and managers. The following sections fall under Taylor’s purview: features, entertainment, news, sports, food, Image, Latino initiatives, digital enterprise, and immersive experiences.

    Before joining The Times, Taylor’s projects at Medium, AFAR Media and San Francisco Magazine saw her guiding the art departments through collaborations with multilevel stakeholders to improve processes and develop thoughtful branding and designs. Previously, as creative director at Pacific Standard, she assigned and produced immersive photo stories, procured brand partnerships with the Pulitzer Center, NOOR, and Magnum Photos, and led redesign efforts that turned the small, academic journal into a national media brand. Under Taylor’s creative leadership, Pacific Standard received a National Magazine Award for feature photography.

    Taylor held senior roles at publications in Los Angeles and New York, where she built Source Interlink Media’s photo department from the ground up, art directed stories for Runner’s World, and designed special edition covers for Time Inc. titles such as People, Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, and Time-Life.

    Over two decades of experience in creative direction has allowed Taylor to sharpen her leadership abilities while developing an expert attention to detail. Guiding daily operations as well as long-term strategic planning and brand awareness has strengthened her natural aptitude for time management, organization, decision-making, and effective communication.

    Taylor’s passion for people and process helped her develop an expertise in problem solving, resilience, and adaptability — a skillset that proves to be extremely valuable.
